Tight Crew events are so much more than “just another party” for us. It’s a time when we come together as family, dance to our favorite beats, and let go of the worries of the outside world. But we also want to make sure those around us are being healthy and safe.

We do not condone drug use at our events. If you choose to partake in any illicit substances, please be aware of its potential effects on your body, mind, and nervous system. If you plan on drinking alcohol, be mindful of your body and your limitations. We encourage everyone to water up and stay hydrated, so you can keep your muscles happy and your energy high. If you find yourself in need of water, or any other type of aid, please look for a venue or Tight Crew staff member. We are all here for you, and we will make sure you get the help you need. ❤

On that note, we ask that you look out for your fellow ravers at events; both long-term friends, and complete strangers. If you see someone looking like they need a buddy, introduce yourself, lend a hand, and let them know you’re there for them. It goes a long way. If you see someone being mistreated, say something! If someone appears to be in an uncomfortable situation, ask politely if they are okay. Respect other people’s limits - and your own. Everyone has a bubble and different levels of comfortability, check-in before you touch, hug, or dance in someone’s personal space. We alone are accountable and responsible for our actions, but we as members of this community can be role models to the rest of society

We are a close-knit community full of friends and family, familiar strangers, and unique individuals. We hope that everyone feels they can freely express themselves at Tight Crew events without fear of judgment or intolerance. It’s critical that we work together to maintain this community as a welcoming safe space for all of us.

THE MISSION STATEMENT

In 2009 we embarked on an epic journey to find our cosmic friends BIG NAZO. Along the way we discovered sounds & vibes that electrified the scene, & took everything to a whole new level. Join us, and a thousand smiling faces as we blast off on another adventure with our alien friends Big Nazo. Experience the intergalactic PLURR that many say is the reason they party today. We are putting everything we can into this event and promise it will be a Radical Audio Visual Experience that is talked about for years to come. A big thanks is in order to our entire Tight Crew family. Our community has grown from a few to a few thousand, & the close friendly vibe remains stronger than ever. We love you all & can’t wait to enjoy this trip together.

Phibonacci
Speed Garage - MA
Thephibonaccisequence.com
www.facebook.com/phibonacci1618
https://soundcloud.com/phibonacci1618

Phibonacci has been in and around the rave scene since 2001. Having listened to electronic music since the mid nineties, the discovery of a culture centered around this genre felt like coming home. Phibonacci began primarily as a visual artist. For many years, music and dance drove her visual art practice as she evolved from live painting at raves from 2002-2004 to VJing from 2004-2006. Under the moniker, "VJ Phi", she collaborated with members of the Glitchcrew and also performed at various local raves. Among some of her gigs were the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, the Burning Man festival, and Ultra Music Festival/WMC. VJ Phi was also one of two resident VJs at the Phoenix Landing for Recycle in 2005.

While Phi enjoyed VJing, she always had a desire to be behind the decks as part of the kinesthetic experience of selecting music and moving the dance floor. She wanted to have a hand in the music that painted images in her mind. As such, Phibonacci was born out of the visual stylings of VJ Phi. Phibonacci learned how to DJ by feeling the patterns of the music through dance and by observing and listening to favorite local DJs. She purchased her first set of turntables in 2006 and began playing out regularly in 2012. Throughout her career as a DJ, she has played internationally and locally for Atari Safari, Mutiny, Live Free and Dance, Diehard on Decks, Rise, WZBC Green, WBRS, Infrasuoni, 30 Gedanken zum Tod, Vinyl Siding, Firefly Precom, Burning Man Decom, Kick It Recordings, 4orce Productions, Good Deed DJs and Beatdown Productions. Phibonacci has been a resident DJ with Beatdown Productions, Kick It Recordings (Subterra), and PBMTV. Phibonacci is currently a resident DJ with Robot Haus, and runs the only UK Garage monthly in New England, USA.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Plans

UPDATE: On February 11th, 2022 the state of Rhode Island lifted the indoor mask mandate and requirements for proof of vaccination or negative test for public settings. While we are so happy to be getting back to live events, we take everyone's health and well-being very seriously and try to keep everyone as safe as possible.  If you are feeling sick the day of the event, please stay home.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Plans

While we are so happy to be getting back to live events, we want you all to know that we are also very aware of the new and developing information on COVID-19. We take everyone's health and well-being very seriously and are actively working on measures to try to keep everyone as safe as possible...and we need your help! There are some steps we can all take together to make sure we can dance the night away safely.

Getting vaccinated is the best step that each of us can take to curb the spread of the virus and help to protect ourselves and each other. We’ll provide resources below for those who need it. You will need to show proof of vaccination upon entry. A photo of your vaccination card will be acceptable.

If you're not fully vaccinated, the Rhode Island Department of Health recommends you wear a mask indoors near anyone you don't live with to protect yourself and your household from COVID-19. Your mask should fit snugly but comfortably over your nose, mouth, and chin without any gaps.

If you are not fully vaccinated YOU WILL NEED TO GET TESTED and receive a negative result within 72 hours of the event. You will need to show proof of your negative test upon entry. A photo of your negative test will be acceptable.

You can get tested for free in many locations around your state, including CVS and Walgreens.

Hand sanitizer stations will be provided throughout the event, and masks will be available upon entry for anyone in need.

If you are feeling sick the day of the event, please stay home. The safety of the Tight Crew community is our number one priority. We are so looking forward to being reunited with all of you!

Evol Intent
Drum & Bass - Cyber Groove AM - CA
https://www.facebook.com/realevolintent
https://www.evolintent.com/blog/
https://soundcloud.com/evolintent

Evol Intent is a trio of multi-faceted producers, often referred to as a leading group in American Drum & Bass music and beyond. Having released a plethora of music over the last 15 years they are touted as legends in the bass music scene among DJs and fans alike. The various members have other projects the music community should be used to: from Knick's bass-whomp madness as "Bro Safari" to Enemy's disco/funk house pursuits as "Treasure Fingers" and Gigantor's waveform warping as "Computer Club."

Coming from a DIY punk rock mindset, Evol Intent got their grassroots start releasing music on their own label 'Evol Intent Recordings,' quickly catching the attention of several labels including Barcode/Renegade Hardware which released their remix of Pish Posh's "Corrupt Cops" and it's blistering flipside "7 Angels With 7 Plagues" to worldwide notoriety. The group found further success with it's politically-charged releases "Police State" in 2005 and their landmark LP "Era Of Diversion" which released to critical acclaim in 2008, along with originals and collaborations on the legendary Lifted Music label. After a fair bit of live and DJ touring Evol Intent returned in 2011 with their anthem "Paradize City," and followed with EPs "Cruise Control" and collaborative release "The Sausage Party" with Milwaukee-based producers Gein. In 2013 came the runaway hit "The Liquid," a joint effort with production gods Noisia, and after a string of free releases online the "Under The Radar" EP dropped in late 2014, along with another Noisia collaboration "Long Gone" on their "Vision Recordings" imprint.

Along the way Evol Intent has had their work featured in videos games such as EA Sport's "Need For Speed Most Wanted," and on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim promo bumpers. Not only known for their originals, Evol Intent have remixed many other artist's works along the way, more notably Shiny Toy Guns, Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan, BT, Black Sun Empire, and Dieselboy. The guys have collaborated with countless artists such as Noisia, Mayhem, Spor, Ewun, The Upbeats, The Sound Of Animals Fighting, jazz legend Bill Laswell and hardcore rocker Aaron Bedard of Bane.

Aside from production, group-member Gigantor hosts the "Evolcast" podcast series every two months, featuring a mixset often containing sneak peeks of the group's unreleased music. Along with the Evolcast Gigantor has taken up the reigns for most of the DJ touring for the group, continuing to bring music to fans worldwide.

Few DJs put as much energy, intensity and insanity into their performances as DJ VENOM. He continues to relentlessly tour the continent, unleashing his signature sounds to packed dance floors of sweat covered fans. This New England native has been a major figure in the North American rave scene for over two decades, wowing crowds with his flawless mixing, floor-filling beats and crazy turntable tricks. In 1994, Venom started Volume Productions, a rave oriented company dedicated to the advancement of the underground electronic scene. Not only did Volume release over 70 DJ Venom mix tapes, but they also were bent on breeding an army of party-goers by throwing numerous raves and events, including the famous ENERGY night.
Venom also gained notoriety for his sick scratching and turntable skills that earned him numerous awards in competitions and battles throughout the years, including two second place finishes at the WMC battles in Miami. In 2000, Venom signed with the legendary Underground Construction label out of Chicago. His hard house sound was a perfect match and he began releasing a series of top-selling CDs including the “Straight Bangin'” series, the “House Blend” series and the “Raise the Volume” series. Today, Venom continues to champion the hard dance sounds, releasing an arsenal of headbanging hard house, hardstyle and hardcore tracks. He continues to put out mix CDs on his own label, Morlock Musik, as well as various side projects under the aliases of Scratch Gringo and Eddie Brock. After 20+ years behind the decks, Venom continues to breathe life into the underground scene, and he doesn’t plan on stopping.

DUCKY IS A SAN FRANCISCO BRED AND BASED PRODUCER AND DJ WHO HAS BEEN PLAYING CLUBS SINCE THEY WERE 13 (VIA FAKE ID VIBES). For years they have been quietly shaping their sound - a range of melodic pop tunes and heavy rave bangers that stretch from uplifting to headbanging to full-on hardcore. After moving to the West Coast from New York on a whim, Ducky quickly bubbled up in both the Los Angeles scene as well as online, boasting releases on Twitch star Ninja’s collaborative compilation with Astralwerks, Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats, and Jauz’s Bite This, to name a few. They easily move through musical roles, premiering an Adult Swim select on Fader one day, throwing a sold out warehouse show in LA the next. Ducky’s sound is able to transcend any one scene, with their music’s raw emotionality and top-tier production earning cosigns ranging from Skrillex to NPR Music.

Third Annual Pat Fontes ALS Marathon

ALS is an always fatal neurodegenerative disease in which a person's brain loses connection with the muscles. People with ALS lose their ability to walk, talk, eat and eventually breathe.

ALS usually strikes people between the ages of 40 and 70, but it can strike anyone at anytime. Although there is not yet a cure or treatment that halts ALS, scientists have made significant progress in understanding what causes ALS. But their work is not done. Together, we work toward a cure.

That is where you come in.

Over the next 60 hours DJs from all over are going to be donating their time once again to raise money for one of our own. It has been just under four years since Pat Fontes was diagnosed with ALS. Sometimes writing about how amazing a person who has been nothing but humble is difficult. Not many people have sacrificed so much and given their all like Pat Fontes has. If you have never been lucky enough to meet Pat you have met someone he has touched.

This year’s marathon will be hosted in Rhode Island’s newest DIY collaborative space, Focal, which focuses on arts, music, education and advocacy.

Hello Tight Crew Family!
This Saturday 4/25/20 we’re hosting a live stream for all of the ravers stuck at home, with no events to let loose at. We know how it feels to have no place to RAVE, because it is killing us as well. While the main purpose of this is to continue to share dance music and connect with our RAVE family, as that is the core of our existence. We will have an optional donation link available. We have never asked for donations or handouts, but his quarantine is hitting us hard with canceled/postponed events. We’ve lost all chance of income to stay afloat. We’re draining everything we have to pay rent on our warehouse/utilities, and will soon have nothing for rent, or upfront money to host our next event when the quarantine ends. We’ve never made a ton of money doing what we do. This is a passion project and a labor of love to keep bringing our community of ravers a fun and safe event experience. We hope you join us online as we quarantine-party this Saturday away! The donation is totally optional, but anything would help. We want to continue to host events, but have no way to save what we have and move forward. We hope we can bring a little joy into your lives with this live stream, as we need it as much as you.

For those that donate, we'll keep you in mind when the time comes with something special. Whether it be, early access an Underground Sound, or discounts on our larger events like Halloween or Nightmare. When we get back on our feet, we will remember those who helped get us through this time.

DJ Venom
Booty House/Turntablism - Morlock Musik
http://www.djvenom.com/
https://soundcloud.com/djvenom
https://www.facebook.com/djvenommusic

Konvurt
UK Garage
https://www.facebook.com/Konvurt/
https://soundcloud.com/konvurt
At the core, Konvurt is first and foremost an eclectic electronic music collector finding enjoyment and inspiration from a vast range of sounds—from mashup to turntablism, deep to filthy, club to rave, his approach to listening has always been adventurous. Evidence of this fusion of stylistic influence reveals itself when he gets behind the decks—a central sonic theme forms the basis for sets often spanning several genres, tempos and beat structures. As much an enthusiast of the technical side of DJing as the musical, he utilizes a wide arsenal of tools and techniques to take his spinning beyond the standard mix-and-blend, always experimenting with new tricks in hopes of adding more creativity to his performances. Since his public DJ debut playing loft parties in 2013, Konvurt has provided opening support for international names (DJ Gammer, Sketi) and featured on prominent event lineups from several of New England’s most formidable crews—whether rocking prime time at a Tight Crew rave massive with funky glitch-hop or bumping syncopated UK garage beats for a clandestine Rabbit Revolution loft afterhours, his style is an affirmation of an unshakeable desire to discover, explore, adapt and reimagine.

DJ Soappy
Booty Breaks/Booty N Bass
https://www.tightcrew.net/soappy.html
DJ Soappy has steadily developed a reputation for tearing up dance floors throughout the east coast for 12+ years. He's quickly built a name for himself with his innovative mixing style and superior track selection. Over the years he has built a reputation for bringing some of the most cutting edge sounds while bridging the gap between genres (Dubstep, House, Psy-Trance, Garage, & Drum n' Bass). His natural sense to read the crowd keeps the dance floor moving, and people wanting more. DJ Soappy is a staple in the New England Rave scene known not only for his DJ skills, but also as the Co-founder of "Tight Crew" Productions. Tight Crew is the northeast's largest rave event production company. Drawing thousands of ravers to each event.

Producing tracks at a prolific rate in the late '90s, Brown managed to assemble a voluminous back catalogue for himself in just a few short years recording for labels his own labels Evolution and Twisted Vinyl as well as many of the Dutch labels at the time. By the milllennium he started mixing the Bonkers series of albums as well as mixing his own Hardwired compilations. He's still very active working on evolution and releasing albums numerous times a year.

In the summer of 2008 a collaborative project was launched that would combine the choice skill sets of two dynamic New England area breaks djs, namely FiG and Soappy, to be known thereafter as Big n’ Dope! This combination of experience and enthusiasm is firmly founded in the duo’s strong technical proficiency, impeccable selection of quality tracks and their innate ability to deliver high energy and performance to seething dance floors.

FiG and Soappy have a combined sphere of influence that reaches from Maine down to Pennsylvania having made appearances at all points there and in between. They have respectively and collaboratively been called upon to open for such leading industry names as Adam Freeland, the Freestylers and Uberzone versus Bassbin Twins.

In May of 2009 Big n’ Dope released their much anticipated self-titled debut demo mix. The mix immediately garnered much praise from all corners of the north east scene and has since become a favorite amongst party-goers and industry professionals alike. Now firmly established as a force within the north east scene this forward thinking duo is cultivating an expanding sound and evolving far beyond the borders of their breaks base to include dubstep, drum and bass, house and various elements of psy. Look for many upcoming Big n’ Dope appearances in the near future showcasing this sonic evolution as well as the follow up demo mix "Beyond the Breakers" now available at a rave near you!

In the deep depths of a dark basement, the tune of Ghosts n’ Stuff hit his earbuds and gave him a taste of what would become his new addiction. In his adventure to further his knowledge of the Electronic world, he convinced himself that listening and attending shows just weren’t enough to satisfy his itch. As he dived into learning the ways of the DJ, his style and rhythm developed into what some may say is passionate, energetic, and diverse. Sharing stages with the likes of Cash Cash, Tritonal, Snails, Bro Safari and GTA, as well as, gracing venues around Connecticut, NYC, RI and NJ; Colin has proven that his passion is just more than a hobby. // Tight Crew Health & Safety Policy

Everyone has a bubble and different levels of comfortability, check in before you touch, hug, or dance in someone’s personal space. We alone are accountable and responsible for our actions, but we as members of this community can be role models to the rest of society.

We are a close-knit community full of friends and family, familiar strangers and unique individuals. We hope that everyone feels they can freely express themselves at Tight Crew events without fear of judgement or intolerance. It’s critical that we work together to maintain this community as a welcoming safe space for all of us.

In 2012 Keith teamed up with long-time creative collaborators Fixx and D:RC to form Smookie Illson, a new bass music alias as an outlet for studio experiments that sometimes fall outside the umbrella of breakbeat music. The trio found their footing in the nascent EDM scene and started churning out remixes and originals at a brisk pace. Their 2013 bootleg remix of Yo Majesty's 'Club Action' turned into one of the longest-running festival season selections, gaining support year after year from some of the bass scene’s biggest names.
Having been involved in dance music long enough to watch it grow into the big business it is today has taught Keith the value of being self-reliant and staying insulated from flash trends. This knowledge and experience has allowed him to maintain his steady rising career arc as both artist, label boss and esteemed party rocking DJ.

Rob GEE is famous all across The Universe as "the hardest DJ to ever play the Limelight in NYC." In the club's early 90's heyday, the versatile GEE kept delirious audiences going through spinning at Limelight's "Future Shock" dance/techno nights and performing with his live band as well as spinning at the club's "Rock And Roll Church" metal/ rock/ industrial nights. The crowds kept coming back to Limelight, just like they did in Australia, Japan, Italy, Spain, Scotland, Austria, Hungary and Belgium to name a few. GEE is a recurring headliner at Sensation,Thunderdome, Mysteryland, and Love Parade, where GEE played before one million people. His diverse appeal keeps him performing weekly at all types of musical events and concerts. GEE has shared the stage with everyone from Hatebreed and Biohazard to Crystal Method, Busta Rhymes, Kurtis Blow, and Afrika Bambaataa. His GEEness has also has spun at many Slipknot and Korn after parties with his good friend, DJ Starscream a.k.a. #0 of Slipknot. GEE's history of DJing and live performances shows his dedication of bringing the fusion of organic and electronic music to a wide variety of listeners. GEE's love of hip-hop, hardcore, techno, metal and every other genre for that matter set him apart from the rest. While other DJs make tracks and spin records, GEE is an Artist who writes original songs. His indecisiveness as to whether or not he wanted to breakdance and spin hip-hop or jump in the mosh pit and play in a metal band was one of the reasons he began to cultivate his own style of both. Rob GEE is the only artist of his kind to collaborate and create with members of respected rock, metal, hardcore and hip-hop acts such as Slipknot, Hatebreed, Biohazard, Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill, and System Of A Down (just to name a few) creating a unification of Rock, Electronic, & Metal as well any other style GEE chooses to use. The GEEsult is Rob GEE gabber music. Rob GEE says, "There are no boundaries in music" . GEE is writing history launching gabber into the scene of the galaxy......
"The Gabber Guru," as GEE is known for his constant motivation of #PositivianVibes gained worldwide fame after the release of "Ecstasy You Got What I Need". The song went Gold and was the #1 video on The Box for 13 straight weeks. At the same time, "Ecstasy" rose to #9 on the pop charts and earned him Best Artist, Best Producer and Best Song of the year at The Thunder Awards in Holland.
The GEE Man enjoyed more worldwide success along band mates Neophyte and Tieum with their collective efforts "Coming At You Strong", "Anxiety", & "Rage With Pride" under the name "Riot Squad". Rob GEE is still pushing solo success globally with his most recent hit "RIght Now". GEE always with his open mind has enjoyed recent Hardstyle & Rawstyle bangers teaming up with heavy hitters like The Prophet and Adaro. While in the same breath has been rocking the mainstream airwaves collaborating with hardcore giants Partyraiser & DJ Mad Dog. Look out later this year, nu metal will meet hardcore in the studio ring when Rob GEE teams up with no other than Shavo Odadjian of System Of A Down. Rob GEE won't be stopped!!!!!! The sound is 100% Rob GEE, which means eclectic, unexpected and completely unique. Much #GEEspect & #PositivianVibes

The Good Deeds DJs Second Annual Pat Fontes DJ Marathon for ALS

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neurone disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a specific disease that causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles. A-myo-trophic comes from the Greek language. "A" means no. "Myo" refers to muscle, and "Trophic" means nourishment – "No muscle nourishment." This horrific disease currently has no cure and the hope for living a type of normal life quickly vanishes from that who are impacted it.

In December of 2016 we learned that one of our own Pat Fontes was diagnosed with it. If you are a DJ there is almost no doubt that you have had him hand a record to you at Satellite records, or if you are a dancer have had him play to you at many parties the past years. To us he is a friend and brother. For the second time The Good Deed DJs come together with our local scene for 55 hours to raise money for Pat Fontes and the Massachusettes ALS Foundation.

From Friday June 7th at 5PM until June 9th at midnight we will have over 60 DJ's donating their time, effort and love to Pat and all of those impacted by ALS. Our kind hosts Hennessey Sound Design and Mutiny/Supreme Sound have agreed to let us use their places of business for 48 hours, while the closing party will be at the Providence Rooftop at Pub G.

Tight Crew Health & Safety Policy
